Matt Beikes

M. Matthew Beikes (Producer)

Matt is a writer, director, and producer who has worked in theater, television, and films for over 20 years. Twelve of those were spent as a resident member of The Kentucky Contemporary Theater in Louisville, KY.  He founded Jazzydog Productions in 2007 and has produced or co-produced several short films, as well as the feature, We Ain’t From Athens, which is about the growing music scene in Louisville, KY.
Jay Hinkelman Jay Hinkelman (screenwriter, Waffles for Virginia)

Jay has been writing stories since grammar school. It wasn’t until after graduating from Purdue University that his theater interest began. He spent the better part of the last two decades dabbling in acting, directing, and playing music. He would also occasionally submit short written sketches to his church’s "drama ministry." Jay finally decided to focus on scriptwriting when two of his one-act plays were produced at a local festival for new playwrights.

Waffles for Virginia was originally written as a stage play. It was born out of a drive-time conversation with his wife, Patty. Jay began to toy with the idea of two parents who, unbeknownst to them, had differing philosophies on how best to handle the "Santa Question."
